At a time when many retailers are cautious about their expansion plans, The Butcher's Block is a new addition to the retail mix. Having opened two months ago in the Dundrum Town Centre, the store is already experiencing queues out the door daily. The Butcher's Block is the new name for Cribbin Family Butchers. With six stores around Ireland, and as many more planned for 2010, The Butcher's Block is the first of its type in Ireland.

The brand was developed in conjunction with Dublin based Bradley McGurk, retail brand and design specialists. Bradley McGurk researched Cribbin's customers to understand what they looked for in a butcher. The message was clear, Cribbin's customers came for the quality produce, excellent value, and great service and that is what they got.The challenge was to develop a new brand name which would be readily recognizable while maintaining at all cost those core values which are so important to the Cribbin group.

"The Butcher's Block brand has given us platform to build our butcher retail business in Ireland. I am delighted with the reaction of my customers, and my team, to the new presentation of our business. We now have a brand identity that matches the excellent quality of our meat," said Tom Cribbin, Managing Director, The Butcher's Block.
